About
Why we built this site
Social media and word of mouth are full of “plausible” tax talk. Some of it is wrong, some is only half right, and believing it blindly has led to real cases of additional tax and penalties.
Yet there were almost no places that verify such rumors back to their sources (statutes, circulars, and official NTA information) and go beyond “no” to show “what to do instead.” “Zeihonto?” was built to fill that gap — a fact-checking site reviewed by a licensed Japanese tax accountant (zeirishi).
Operator
- Operator: Sugiyama Accounting Office
- Editing and production: editorial support by the office’s AI agent workflow. Every article is reviewed and approved by the tax accountant before publication.

Privacy
The only cookies this site uses are for traffic analysis (Google Analytics). We do not use them for any other purpose.
We use “Google Analytics” (provided by Google LLC) to understand how the site is used. It uses cookies to collect information such as the URL of the pages you view, the referring page, your browser type, and the date and time of access. This site is configured not to send query strings (the part after “?”) in those URLs and referrers, but this does not guarantee that an individual visitor cannot be identified. Collected information is processed under the Google Privacy Policy. If you do not want to be measured by Google Analytics, you can disable it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Entries in the contact form are delivered to the operator via a form service (Formspree). Personal information is collected only to the extent needed to reply to inquiries and to verify corrections to articles.
